Students in Mme Froese's Kindergarten class have been hard at work making Christmas cards for members of their community.
Students are learning about how joyful the act of giving can be.
Student Elenia said she felt happy to give the card to someone else.
For Gurliv the hardest part about making the cards was the gluing.
“Because there was so much of it.” She said.
Max though the feathers he added to his cards were the most difficult.
“Because they were really sticky.” He explained.
Mme Maria Froese talked about the project.
“We’re all interconnected with each other And giving is just a reminder of our human connection to others: Not only are the recipients not alone, because we’re thinking of them, but we are not alone.” She said.
Cards will be sent to residents of local long term care homes, those in need, and staff with the Kenora Catholic District School Board.
