Back in December, students in Grade 1 at École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys took time to learn about the Women of the Bible.
Maria Froese and her Grade 1 Religion class learned about everyone, from Eve to Mary.
Student Olivia explained who her favourite woman is and why.
“Mary because she had a baby, the saviour of the world. My favourite thing about Mary is that she rode a donkey.”
Adele also liked Mary the best.
“Mary because she is kind. My favourite part of her story is that she trusts the angels.”
Mary emerged the clear favourite, although a couple students also named Eve and Rachel.
At the end of the unit on Women of the Bible, students dressed up and took part in a quiz to test their knowledge.
Students will now be learning about Men of the Bible.
