École Ste Marguerite Bourgeoys had the privilege of welcoming back an accomplished alumna, Marlee Boucha, who is a National Wrestling Champion. Marlee joined Mme Kerns’ Grade 6 Physical Education and Health class to share her inspiring journey and offer practical insights into the world of athletics and wellness.
Marlee captivated students with stories about her dedication to maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. She discussed her commitment to working closely with her coaches and a dietician to develop a fitness routine and nutrition plan that align with her athletic goals. By making mindful food choices and following a structured training schedule, Marlee emphasized how important it is to approach fitness holistically, balancing strength and endurance with proper nutrition to meet the demands of her weight class in a healthy and sustainable way.
Students were inspired by Marlee’s perseverance and discipline, leaving the session with new knowledge about the connection between nutrition and fitness in achieving personal goals.
